I much prefer Charleston although it may be because I live in Savannah. I do find Savannah easier to get around than Charleston. As previously stated, you can buy an all day pass and get on and off the trolley. I would also take the advice not to eat at Paula Deens, not worth the wait and the food is ordinary.

Historic Savannah hands down. And cheaper than Charleston, too. Quite frankly, I feared being bored with a full week in Savannah but just loved it.
